Forklift Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Propane Mechanic to join our warehouse operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing propane-powered forklifts (Toyota preferred) and reach trucks. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring all material handling equipment is in optimal condition to support daily operations safely and efficiently.

• • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair propane-powered forklifts (Toyota) and Crown reach trucks
• • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment hand tools
• • Troubleshoot malfunctions using diagnostic equipment
• Maintain accurate records of Inspect equipment for safety and performance issues, ensuring compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime
• Immediately report major or recurring issues.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly
• Ability to carry heavy objects, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure equipment needs are met.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mechanic working on propane forklifts and reach trucks (Toyota experience is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of propane fuel systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and basic engine repair.
• Ability to work in an organized and independent manner.
• Solid understanding of forklift parts and general operation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
