Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour

Surface Preparation:
Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters to desired depth and pitch; install reinforcing mesh or rebar. Pouring & Leveling:
Direct concrete truck drivers and use shovels/rakes to spread concrete. Finishing Techniques:
Smooth surfaces using hand trowels, bull floats, or powered troweling machines. Detailing & Curing:
Cut expansion joints, edge, and apply special finishes (e.g., broom, stamp, or polished). Environmental Monitoring:
Monitor curing, adjusting techniques based on wind, heat, or cold. Repair & Restoration:
Repair, patch, or waterproof damaged concrete structures.

Technical Proficiency:
Deep knowledge of concrete mixtures, curing times, and finishing techniques. Tool Proficiency:
Expertise with saws, vibrators, trowels, edgers, and laser levels. Physical Stamina:
Ability to perform heavy manual labor, including bending and kneeling for long periods. Blueprint Reading:
Capability to read, understand, and implement construction drawings. Safety Adherence:
Strict compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols. Experience & Education

Experience:

Usually requires 2-5 years of experience in concrete construction.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Training:
Completion of a formal apprenticeship or on-the-job training program. Work Environment Fast-paced, high-pressure environments, often working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Frequent exposure to dust, mud, and heavy equipment.
