Performance Health is looking for Equipment Service Technicians to join our growing Field Service team. The Service Technician plays a critical role in supporting the reliability and safety of rehabilitation medical devices and exercise equipment used by customers. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and safety inspection of a wide range of products, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with all regulatory and manufacturer standards.
As a valued technical professional, the Service Technician represents the company with a strong focus on quality, precision, and customer satisfaction. This role builds technical expertise through hands-on experience, mentorship, and manufacturer-supported training programs designed to enhance technical proficiency and professional growth within the Service function. Applicants should have a solid understanding of mechanical systems and be proficient with tools and equipment commonly used in repair work.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality repairs, calibrations, and maintenance in accordance with specific manufacturers, Federal, State, and BRH guidelines.
- Assess and prepare necessary equipment, tools, and materials to complete installations and service visits efficiently.
- Manage the exchange and return process of electrotherapy devices and/or accessories requiring repair or replacement.
- Verify equipment is fully operational and meets safety and performance standards before completing service visits.
- Communicate effectively with the Service Coordinator and/or Service Manager to provide updates, flag issues, and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Accurately complete service documentation, maintain inventory, and uphold vehicle and tool organization standards.
- Actively contributes to continuous improvement by sharing insights, identifying recurring technical issues, and recommending process enhancements.
- Support the broader Service team as needed, including cross-functional collaboration on special projects or initiatives.
- Performing other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience as a medical equipment and/or fitness equipment service technician
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Electrical/hydraulic and mechanical experience
- Ability to travel daily within assigned territory
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Strong work ethic with a proven successful track record
- Organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
