Duties
* You will perform advanced and complex troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to all aircraft systems and components.
* You will conduct thorough inspections, using specialized equipment to diagnose faults and determine corrective actions.
* You will utilize technical manuals, service bulletins and other publications to develop work plans and repair strategies.
* You will ensure the maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards, technical requirements and regulatory guidelines. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This is a bargaining unit position.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. The Screen-out Element for WG-10 position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION.
1) Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of materials, tools, equipment, and techniques required for aircraft mechanic work;
2) Diagnosing issues with systems and recommending solutions;
3) Removing, installing, connecting, aligning, adjusting, and testing complex systems and assemblies. The Screen-out Element for WG-08 position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION.
1) Demonstrating knowledge of materials, tools, equipment and techniques for aircraft mechanic work;
2) Assisting in diagnosing issues with systems;
3)
Supporting in removing, installing, connecting, aligning, adjusting and testing complex systems and assemblies. The Screen-out Element for WG-05 position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION.
