Assist the electronic systems technicians, fire life safety technicians and/or certified electricians during the installation of new electrical low voltage systems and the repair and maintenance of existing low voltage electrical systems while maintaining compliance with national, state and local electrical codes. They assist electronic systems technicians, fire life safety technicians and certified electricians in the above activities at commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential locations.

This is considered to be a safety sensitive position.

• Under the supervision of an electronic systems technician, fire life safety technician, and/or a certified electrician, productively and safely install, repair, maintain, and test commercial, industrial, institutional electrical systems.
• Under the supervision of an electronic systems technician, fire life safety technician, and/or a certified electrician, productively and safely install, repair, maintain, and test residential electrical systems.
• Under the supervision of an electronic systems technician, fire life safety technician, and/or a certified electrician, productively and safely install, repair, maintain, and test communications, security and fire alarm systems.
