Volt is immediately hiring multiple Industrial Electricians in San Diego, CA.

As an Industrial Electrician, you will assist with:

• Work and perform functional testing and troubleshooting on electrical/electronic devices.
• Perform Lockout/Tag out procedures for electrical systems.
• Perform Hookups and disconnects of circuits.
• Load bank and transformer voltage changes.
• Switchgear setup Load bank control configurations
• Prior to energizing of packages and control consoles, verification of proper grounding installation.
• Initial loading of generator set packages.
• Voltage builds and initial loading procedures.
• Verification of generator set package electrical configurations and authorization of initial closing of output circuit breaker and prior to initial start on each shift.
• Daily monitoring of facility AC log to ensure proper communication and safety practices between Production Test, Maintenance, and outside contractors.
• Following production test instructions when performing test operations.
• Observing and following standard safety practices when performing test operations.

This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday - 2pm – 10:30pm.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years electrical related job experience Must have 220 and 440 VDC experience at least three years
• Experienced in reading/interpreting applicable Electrical drawings and technical manuals
• Experience using general repair tools and equipment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Willing to work any shift
• PLC controls experience

Pay Rate: $38.00 per hour

* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties certifications, etc.
