Mechanic C

Transdev in San Diego, CA is seeking a C-Level Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining alternative fuel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a C-Level Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

• $36.25/hour
• Added $0.25/hour for each primary ASE certification obtained.
• Added $0.15/hour for each secondary ASE certification obtained.

• Vacation: up to 14 days per year
• Paid Sick Leave: 8 hours monthly for full-time employees / 5 hours monthly for part-time employees; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full‑time employees, life insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits, and company holidays.

• Perform repairs and replacements on engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.

• 1+ years of experience as a Mechanic.
• Valid CDL license or willingness to obtain CDL license.

• Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
• Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
• ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic’s Tool Set.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
• Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
