Tower Technician I-III at Tower Communications Expert, LLC
Position SummaryThe Tower Technician works with cell phone towers to provide wireless communications services. A Tower Technician may assist in setting support infrastructure to build towers from the ground up, conduct routine maintenance, and install delicate equipment such as antennas and lighting. At telecom job sites the focus is on efficiency, quality, and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties- Participate in pre-project meetings and complete all required paperwork.
- Assess safety hazards and ensure all work follows safety rules and regulations.
- Work effectively with and support fellow crew members.
- Successfully complete all scope of work assigned according to construction requirements and quality standards, and within the allotted time frame.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for integration tasks.
- Perform administrative tasks as required, including timesheet submissions, daily reports, expense reports, and materials lists.
- Participate in punch‑walks and submit close‑out package information.
- Take responsibility for all company equipment, vehicles, and tools.
- Investigate and report all accidents/incidents to management and safety department; suggest and implement corrective actions.
Must haves
- Ability to work with advanced hand/power tools and alignment tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within provided parameters.
- Basic computer skills.
- RF Awareness, CPR/FIRST AID, OSHA 10, Comtrain (or equivalent) certified.
- Willingness and ability to travel away from home for 3–6 weeks at a time.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Basic hand tools, full climbing gear, boots, work clothes, and PPE.
- Willingness to use TCE’s systems and processes, including GPS‑enabled time‑card system.
Preferred
- Experience with major carriers (TMOBILE, Verizon, AT&T).
- NWSA TT1, TT2 certifications.
- Rigging experience.
- Knowledge and experience using test equipment such as ODM, PIM, Anritsu, OTDR.
- Ability to read SA and other paperwork.
- Ability to operate truck and trailer.
- $19–$30 per hour (base + overtime).

- Must pass ongoing drug‑screen testing.
