Summary
A well-established commercial mechanical contractor in San Diego is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join its growing service team. This is a full-time opportunity focused on commercial HVAC service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair throughout the greater San Diego area.
The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter with experience servicing larger commercial HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and controls.
Key Responsibilities- Perform commercial HVAC service, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
- Service chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, package units, and other commercial HVAC equipment
- Respond to service calls and independently identify and resolve equipment problems
- Complete service documentation and communicate repair recommendations clearly
- Maintain strong relationships with commercial customers
- Follow company safety procedures and industry standards
- Commercial HVAC service experience & strong HVAC troubleshooting ability
- Hands-on experience with chillers and larger commercial HVAC equipment
- Experience with boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and hydronic systems preferred
- Strong electrical, controls, and VFD troubleshooting skills
- EPA 608 certification required
- Able to work independently in a field service environment
