What You ll Be Doing
As a Foreman Carpenter, you ll be responsible for leading carpentry crews and executing retail construction projects from start to finish.
Typical Scopes Of Work Include- Millwork, cabinetry, fixture, display, and décor package installation
- Rough carpentry, framing, drywall, and interior finish work
- Wall panels, trim, doors, hardware, and accessory installation
- Retail remodels, tenant improvements, and store refresh projects
- Lead and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and assistant carpenters
- Plan work activities and sequence tasks to maintain production goals
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules
- Perform layout and ensure installations meet project requirements
- Monitor workmanship and maintain high quality standards
- Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, vendors, and store personnel
- Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a safe jobsite
- Forecast material needs and communicate potential issues before they impact the schedule
- Train and mentor less experienced team members
- Help deliver projects on time and to customer expectations
- 7+ years of commercial carpentry experience
- 3+ years of experience leading crews or serving as a Lead Carpenter or Foreman
- Experience with retail, commercial, tenant improvement, or remodel construction
- Strong skills in framing, drywall, finish carpentry, fixture installation, and millwork
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Proven ability to lead teams while maintaining productivity and quality
- Experience coordinating multiple trades in active construction environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and valid s driver s license
- Ability to travel and stay overnight as project schedules require
- Commitment to safety, accountability, and teamwork
