Robotic Systems Engineering TechnicianSalary Range: $39.78 To $39.78 Hourly
Job Title: Robotic Systems Engineering Technician
Travel: No travel and no tele-work
Clearance: Access to classified information not required
Job Summary:
The Robotic Systems Engineering Technician supports U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) forces by providing Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance on government-owned Remote Operated Vehicles (ROV); training for ROV operators; and, management of logistics support functions that enable maintenance and training services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform corrective maintenance and repairs on ROV systems utilized by Navy EOD forces by troubleshooting, replacing components, and performing operational tests.
- Perform preventative maintenance on ROVs in accordance with the Navy Maintenance & Material Management (3M) Program.
- Perform operational/functional testing of ROVs per Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines.
- Clean ROVs, as required, to ensure proper maintenance and operation.
- Perform Quality Assurance checklists for each maintenance or repair event.
- Create and maintain logs documenting the testing, repairs, calibration, and software configuration of ROVs.
- Perform issue, receipt, loadout, and tracking of ROVs.
- Develop, manage, and deliver ROV-related training to supported EOD units.
- Operate test equipment and electrical and basic hand tools.
- Operate Material Handling Equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand-trucks and up to 6,000 pound forklifts.
Qualifications:
- Minimum:
Training and experience related to the operation, testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of electronic equipment/systems. - Preferred: 2-4 years of training and experience related to the operation, testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of electronic ground, air, and underwater robotic equipment/systems.
- Knowledge of basic computer science and with Microsoft Office 365 applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and SharePoint).
- Working knowledge in requisitioning procedures, receipt processing, warehouse operations, hazardous material (HAZMAT) usage/storage, and on-load/offload, and transportation procedures.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and valid OSHA approved forklift license/certificate.
