The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Electrician. This promotional/open opportunity is open to all interested candidates.

BASIC FUNCTION: The Electrician will perform skilled electrical work in the inspection, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

  12 months per year / 40hours per week.
• Salary:
  This position is paid on the OSS Salary Schedule. Grade 050.
• Positions 20 hours per week or greater qualify for District-paid health and wellness benefits for the employee and their eligible dependents.
• Vacancies that require the incumbent to be Bilingual will be noted. Candidates considered for positions that require bilingual skills will be invited to a Performance Test (Qualifying Only) for oral and written fluency. Bilingual positions qualify for a 5% bilingual differential.

Education and Experience: A combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to completion of a recognized four-year electrical apprentice training program and minimum four years diversified journeyman level electrician experience.

NOTE:

Licenses and Other Requirements: Possession of a valid State of California General Journeyman Electrician certification.

$39.65 to $48.18 Per Hour
