THE ROLEWe're hiring a Kitchen Exhaust Hood Fan Maintenance & Repair Technician to install, maintain, and repair the exhaust fans that keep commercial kitchens running safely and up to code. You'll work on-site at restaurants and commercial kitchens, diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and completing new installs. This role starts part-time with a clear path to full-time as our fan maintenance and repair line grows.
WHATYOU'LL OWN
- Install new kitchen exhaust fans and related components at customer sites.
- Diagnose and repair fan motors, belts, bearings, wiring, and other mechanical or electrical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance to keep exhaust fans running safely and efficiently.
- Identify additional repairs, upgrades, or fixes a customer may need and flag them for an on-site upsell.
- Work safely at heights, on ladders, and on rooftops where exhaust fans are typically mounted.
- Keep accurate notes on work performed, parts used, and any follow-up needed.
- Represent Core Services professionally in front of customers on every job.
- Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing exhaust fans for restaurant/commercial kitchen hoods.
- An electrician's license or certification required or strongly preferred, given the electrical work involved in fan motors and wiring.
- Comfortable and confident working at heights, on ladders, and on rooftops.
- A reliable, detail-oriented operator who diagnoses problems correctly the first time.
- Strong communication skills — you can explain an issue and a recommended fix to a customer in plain language.
- Available for daytime shifts, weekdays, with the flexibility to grow into full-time hours.
- Pay: $25–$28/hour, based on experience, with room to grow.
- Commission opportunity on approved upsells, repairs, or fixes identified on-site.
