Fixed Maintenance Senior

Job Summary

The Maintenance
- Fixed Senior is responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment used in the mining industry. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all equipment is operational and in good working condition.

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and troubleshoots problems
• Reviews lubrication reports and service records and performs oil, lube and filter service on all assigned equipment.
• Dismantles device to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
• Inspect and identifies conditions of equipment (wear, alignment, function, etc)
• Inspects, diagnoses and performs repair and maintenance of all plant stationary equipment
• Adjusts functional parts of devise and control instruments using hand and/or power tools
• General plant maintenance inspection and diagnosis & repairs
• Perform unsupervised repair of plant components
• Performs a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including repairs to crushing, screening, conveying, speed reducers, feeders, vibrators, air compressors and pumping equipment.
• Performs welding tasks as required to accomplish stated installation/repair jobs.
• Installs special functional and structural parts in device.
