Summary

The Residential Service Coordinator II (RSC-II) welcomes individuals going through detoxification from substances to the 24/7 detox program. Clients are met with compassion and respect as they are guided through the intake process of the program. RSC II orients clients to the program and follows up with them routinely to ensure proper services and resources are being delivered throughout the duration of their stay.

RSC II monitors client adherence to the program expectations, works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, monitors the client’s progress, and provides support and interventions to contribute to the overall treatment goals.

Shifts

(1 Swing) (2 Overnight)

Essential Functions
  • Regularly observe and document clients’ physical and emotional states, ensuring timely reporting of any significant changes or concerns to the clinical team.
  • Complete intakes during day, evening, and weekend hours
  • Perform bed checks at minimum every thirty minutes for the first 72 hours of resident’s detoxification and conduct routine facility checks to ensure safety and security, including client and property searches.
  • Offer emotional support and practical guidance to clients, assisting them in managing withdrawal symptoms and maintaining a positive outlook during the detox process.
  • Provide client-specific referrals and resources based on need (e.g. medical, housing, employment, etc.) both internal and external.
  • Assist in the implementation of detox protocols and treatment goals as prescribed by medical and clinical staff, including administering medications under supervision and documenting appropriately.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to address any concerns or barriers to client success in a solution-focused manner.
  • Create a welcoming, safe, inclusive, culturally sensitive living environment for the clients living in the program and ensure clients adhere to the day-to-day program and medication schedule.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment progress, behavioral observations, and any incidents or issues encountered.
  • Support clients in following the program rules, expectations, and requirements.
  • Provide clients with information about substance use disorder, recovery resources, and coping strategies to support their transition to longer-term treatment or recovery programs.
  • Adhere to mandated reporting, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care practices while working with clients and fellow staff.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • RADT registration or equivalent (e.g., CAADAC, CADC) through an Alcohol and Other Drug certifying body required.
  • Previous experience in a detox or substance use disorder treatment setting preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of MS Office.
  • Participate in an annual Tuberculosis screening and/or other screenings when necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be granted where appropriate.
The Pay Rate for this role is based on several factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The initial offer usually falls between the minimum and midpoint of the applicable salary range.

Pay Band N2: $21.30 - $26.54 (Midpoint: $23.31)
