Maintenance Assistant / Janitor

Full Time:
Wednesday - Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor, keeps premises of the facility, apartment houses, residential homes and other buildings on company grounds in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

• Must be able to organize thoughts in a clear manner, effective oral and written communication skills; must possess public speaking skills; must be an active listener and possess conflict resolution/problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of the aging process and its effect on our residents.
• Knowledge of the basic services provided by residential and skilled nursing facilities and other community agencies, ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Knowledge of community resources available.
• Knowledge and ability to train and to supervise other social service staff and volunteers as needed.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to present concise and meaningful reports, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to accept and use professional supervision, consultation and in‑service training; ability to relate appropriately and effectively to residents and their families, to other staff members, and to personnel of other community agencies.

• High School diploma or GED

• Previous Janitorial or related experience preferred

The actual compensation offered will depend on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, and licensure/certifications (as applicable).
