Compass for Affordable Housing is seeking a Resident Services Coordinator to join our team at Skyline, an affordable housing community in San Diego (located at Hwy 15 and Rancho Bernardo Rd.) This 30-hour-per-week position combines comprehensive resident services with leadership of an on-site After‑School Program three days per week.

The Resident Services Coordinator will provide on-site support, programming, and resources for Skyline residents while also implementing and supervising a structured After‑School Program three days each week.

The remaining work hours are dedicated to general resident services, including educational programming, community‑building activities, resource referrals, partnerships, and one-to‑one assistance for residents.

• Serve as the primary on-site Resident Services contact for Skyline residents.
• Build positive, professional relationships with residents and the broader community.
• Connect residents with appropriate community resources, services, and referrals.
• Plan and implement educational programs, community events, and other activities responsive to resident needs.
• Implement and supervise the After‑School Program three days per week, including homework assistance, enrichment activities, and recreational opportunities.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and structured environment for participating children and youth.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers supporting youth programming as needed.
• Develop relationships with schools, community organizations, and service providers.
• Track program participation and outcomes and maintain required documentation.
• Collaborate with Compass leadership and property management while maintaining appropriate Resident Services boundaries.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and other Compass initiatives.

The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with people, is comfortable taking ownership of their work, and can balance the structure of an established program with the flexibility required to respond to the needs of a community.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in resident services, education, youth development, community programming, nonprofit services, or a related field.
• Demonstrated successful experience working with children or youth.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to independently plan, organize, and execute programs and activities.
• Strong judgment, reliability, and follow‑through.
• Comfortable working directly with residents from a wide variety of backgrounds and circumstances.
