• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience with Android system software development.
• Experience with Linux kernel device driver development and debugging.
• Familiarity with ARM and RISC-V SoC architectures.
• Knowledge of operating system fundamentals.

In this role, you will design and develop drivers and firmware for compute subsystems of Google's Pixel line of devices. This team is also responsible for other custom IPs in Google's SoCs. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about machine learning and image processing algorithms.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Design and develop the system software stack, Linux kernel driver, microcontroller firmware, and secure firmware needed to enable our subsystems on Pixels and other embedded devices.
• Design and develop other tools and infrastructure to help ASIC design verification, tapeout, bring up, software debug and performance analysis, and productization.
• Participate in design of software support for future machine learning accelerators and how these interoperate with other compute offload devices.
