This role involves developing and implementing solutions using Generative AI, LLMs, Agents while applying software engineering best practices.

As a Qualcomm IT Software Developer, Staff (GenAI), you will be at the forefront of delivering end-to-end GenAI solutions, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to address their business needs.

• 5+ years of IT‑relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
• OR 7+ years of IT‑relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years of work experience with Full‑stack Application Development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
• 3+ years of work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.

• Applies knowledge and experience to design, develop, create, modify, and validate software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs.
• Design and implement GenAI agents and applications.
• Develop and implement data pipelines, ensuring seamless integrations.
• Design and implement APIs to make generative AI agents, data, and models accessible, adhering to software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and business teams to implement GenAI solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest AI research and technologies, evaluating and adopting them to maintain our competitive edge.
• Communicate complex AI concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision‑making.
• Participate in the design, coding for large features, unit testing, significant debugging fixes, and integration efforts to ensure projects are completed to specifications and schedules.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of strong experience in application development using Python and experience in JavaScript or Java is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in building AI applications using GenAI.
• Proven track record of developing GenAI solutions and deploying to production environments.
• Expertise with at least one cloud computing platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
