Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, DevOps

Leidos offers an exciting opportunity for an Applications Software Engineer in its National Security Sector (NSS) within the Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA).

Product development includes tactical mobile development and enterprise web application development. The portfolio supports Cybersecurity and Information Assurance domains, deploying technologies and interfaces that bring secure, modern‑day solutions to the warfighter.

• Develop web services, full‑stack web applications, and robust persistence layers in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Use Themes, Epics, User Stories, acceptance criteria, and other system engineering artifacts to deliver quality code.
• Apply secure software development principles and best practices to satisfy SOLID coding principles.
• Collaborate with software, system, information assurance, test, and quality engineers to establish and maintain Test‑Driven Development (TDD) within the Leidos Agile Framework.

• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 4+ years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for a degree).
• Active Secret Clearance (required).
• Experience with web‑based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience in Scrum or other Agile environments (e.g., SAFe, XP).
• Experience with UI/development frameworks such as Angular
  
  JS, Ionic, GWT, Smart
  
  GWT, Qt, React, Node.js.
• Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, BDD).
• Experience with Test‑Driven Development.
• Team oriented with excellent written and communication skills.
• DoD 8570‑approved security certification (e.g., Security+) required 90 days after hire.

• Experience with Web Services architectures (REST, SOAP, AWS).
• Experience with Software CM tools (Git, Git Hub).
• Experience with Continuous Integration, quality, and Dev Ops tools (Ant/Maven, Jenkins, Sonar Qube, etc.).
• Experience with security scanning (HP Fortify, HP Web Inspect).
• Experience with build tools (Maven, Ant).
• Experience with mobile application development.
• Experience with Agile management tools (Version One, JIRA, Rally).
• Experience with web server configuration (JBoss, Wildfly, Tomcat).
• Experience with database development (Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, SQLite, Oracle).
