Leidos has a new and exciting opportunity for a Applications Software Engineer in our National Security Sector's (NSS) Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). Product development includes tactical mobile and enterprise web application development supporting the Cybersecurity and Information Assurance domains. These systems use a variety of technologies and interface with infrastructure to deliver secure, modern Cybersecurity and Cryptographic Key Management solutions to the warfighter.

The successful candidate will work on a mix of web service development, full stack web application development, and robust persistence layer implementations in an Agile Scrum environment. This involves using themes, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and other system engineering artifacts. The candidate will apply secure software development principles, use continuous integration and test automation tools, and coordinate with software engineers, system engineers, information assurance engineers, test engineers, and quality assurance staff.

They will set standards and help the team adopt test‑driven development practices within the Leidos Agile Framework.

• BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree).
• Active Secret Clearance (Required).
• Experience with web-based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with Scrum or other Agile environments (e.g., SAFe, XP).
• Experience with UI/Development frameworks (Angular
  
  JS, Ionic, GWT, Smart
  
  GWT, Qt, React, Node.js).
• Experience with automated testing tools and concepts (Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, BDD).
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Works well in a team environment and has excellent written and communication skills.
• DoD 8570 approved security certification (e.g., Security+) required within 90 days of hire.

• Experience with Web Services architectures (REST, SOAP, AWS).
• Experience with Software Configuration Management (e.g., Git, Git Hub).
• Experience with continuous integration, quality, and Dev Ops concepts and tools (e.g., Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar Qube, Fish Eye, Crucible, Gradle, Junit).
• Experience with security scanning (HP Fortify, HP Web Inspect).
• Experience with build scripts (e.g., Maven, ANT).
• Experience with mobile application development.
• Experience with agile management tools and concepts (e.g., Version One, JIRA, Rally).
• Experience with web server configuration (e.g., JBOSS, Wildfly, Tomcat).
• Experience with database development (e.g., Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, SQLite, Oracle).
