Description SAIC is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for a position located in San Diego, CA. This position needs to be highly experienced in JavaScript, React, Linux (RHEL), and has a strong background in Web Experience. This role requires you to have an ACTIVE SECRET clearance to start.
* This will be an ON-SITE role with expected travel up to 10% throughout the year.
* JOB DUTIES:
* The candidate shall perform software engineering design and development activities to produce reliable, modular, and secure software components.
* The work will include development of software on a RHEL OS platform.
* This will include software development with custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware.
* Development will consist of application writing and policy for security accreditations. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience;
Masters and three (3) years or more experience;
PhD and 0 years related experience.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen.
* Must have an Active Secret Clearance.
* Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start.
* Must have Solid Linux (RHEL) familiarity
* Must have strong background in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, React, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS.
* Strong Web experience
* 3-5 years industry experience designing, building, and maintaining large scale systems in production.
* Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.
* Familiarity with DBMS technology, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL.
* Basic design ability:
Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
* Excellent understanding of low-level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance, and scale.
* Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it. DESIRED
SKILLS:
* Experience with C++
* Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
