We are looking for a Frontend Engineer with 2‑6 years of experience to join our early‑stage team building the world’s first AI‑native ERP for defense manufacturing. This is a clean‑slate build with a modern stack (React, Type Script, Next.js, Tailwind CSS) where your decisions ship fast and matter immediately. We need someone who thrives with autonomy, cares deeply about craft and polish, and is excited to define the design language for a product that empowers people building mission‑critical hardware.

• Architect and implement frontend features using React, Type Script, and Next.js, translating Figma designs into polished, responsive, production‑ready code.
• Build structured chat interfaces, real‑time dashboards, and intelligent form systems that blend conversation and action.
• Own frontend testing, validation, and safe rollout practices (A/B testing, Playwright) to ship changes confidently.

This is a ground‑floor opportunity at a clean‑slate startup founded in 2025 to build the world’s first AI‑native ERP for defense tech. You won’t be maintaining legacy code; you’ll architect from scratch. Your work will directly shape the product, defining the entire user experience for defense manufacturers who rely on it.

• Must have experience with React, Type Script, Next.js, and Figma.
• Nice‑to‑haves:
  Python, GraphQL, FastAPI, SQL Alchemy.
• 3‑6 years of experience in frontend engineering (2 years for exceptional candidates).
• Experience building modern, responsive UIs with React.
• Portfolio demonstrating design thinking and user journeys.
• Experience at an AI‑native startup, defense tech, or enterprise SaaS company.
• Frontend testing and safe rollout practices such as A/B testing and Playwright.
• Self‑directed and thrives in a small team with autonomy.
• Product‑minded, able to contribute to what to build, not just execute specs.
• Based on West Coast (San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle); no visa sponsorship.

• Hybrid: 3 days onsite in San Diego or monthly onsite for remote West Coast candidates.
• No full remote roles; preference for West Coast candidates.

• Salary range: $175k–$225k, plus equity with a standard four‑year vesting schedule.

Built production React/Type Script apps with modern responsive UIs (not legacy frameworks). Translated design mocks (Figma or similar) into polished, functional frontend code. Experience at an AI-native startup, defense tech, or enterprise SaaS company. React and Type Script. Frontend testing and safe rollout practices (A/B testing, validation, Playwright). Next.js, GraphQL and/or Python/FastAPI. Self‑directed: thrives with autonomy on a small team without heavy process or support.

Product‑minded: can contribute to what to build, not just execute specs. Based on West Coast (San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle); no visa sponsorship. Able to be on‑site in San Diego 3 days/week or 1 week/month.
