Job Summary

Cubic Defense Secure Communications – The future battlespace will be contested. Potential adversaries are expected to be highly adaptive and relentless in their efforts to detect, jam, and intercept mission‑critical data. Cubic’s Secure Communications Solutions deliver adaptive and resilient communications with Multi‑beam, Multi‑band, Multi‑orbit SATCOM, Software Defined Radios (SDR), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) Radios and protected waveforms that resolve critical gaps in tactical and operational communications.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and develops project concepts, objectives, specifications and resource needs.
  • Prepares development software, codes software (C++) and designs specific enhancements utilizing Socket API programming in Linux and Windows.
  • Participates in the design, development, planning, modification and testing of application software (C++) running on Windows 10 and embedded Linux.
  • Recommends test control, strategies, apparatus and equipment for solving applications running on multiple processors.
  • Test and documents results.
  • Conceptualizes, develops and analyzes engineering designs, specifications and test plans for systems and equipment based on customer/contract requirements.
  • Researches design concepts and feasibility utilizing advanced technical theory and knowledge to resolve software/hardware and target OS related issues.
  • Researches programming system failures and designs and programs solutions.
  • Performs complex analysis of design programming.
  • Maintains liaison with the customers, coordinators, subcontractors and vendor representatives.
  • Monitors project status and progress and measures system performance.
  • Keeps abreast of improvements in software engineering.
  • Identifies software engineering process improvement and supports the execution of them across the organization.
  • Provides mentorship to junior engineering staff.
  • Assumes additional technical responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related technical disciplines.
  • Requires a minimum of 2-5 years work experience and Bachelor’s degree; or a Master’s degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience includes specification, design and development of embedded software systems.
  • Experience includes regression testing, requirements analysis, automation/scripting, user application testing, Jira, writing test procedures, loading firmware/software and defect isolation/debug/troubleshooting systems.
  • Requires proficiency using programming languages such as Java, C/C++/C#, product lifecycle management or other developmental software.
  • Must be eligible for DoD security clearance.
Minimum Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or a Master’s degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in specification, design and development of embedded software systems, regression testing, requirements analysis, automation/scripting, user application testing, Jira, writing test procedures, loading firmware/software, defect isolation/debug/troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Java, C/C++/C#, or similar development languages.
  • Eligibility for DoD security clearance.
Pay Range

$92,000.00 – $
