Position: Web Application Software Engineer with Security Clearance
Description:

On-site in San Diego, CA Our client seeks multiple levels of Web Application Software Engineers to build and maintain functional web pages and applications in an Agile Scrum environment. The role spans web service development, full stack web application development, and robust persistence layer implementations. You will apply secure software development practices, clean coding techniques aligned to S.O.L.I.D principles, and collaborate with software, systems, test, information assurance, and quality engineers.

You will contribute to Themes, Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria, and help set standards for and adopt Test Driven Development to ensure engineering rigor and software quality. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $55.00 to $60.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain web services and full stack web applications with secure coding practices.
* Implement reliable and efficient persistence layers and interface integrations.
* Work within Agile Scrum using Themes, Epics, User Stories, and acceptance criteria.
* Apply clean coding techniques and S.O.L.I.D principles for maintainability and quality.
* Champion and practice Test Driven Development within the Agile framework.
* Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including systems, test, information assurance, and quality teams.
* Support continuous integration and test automation workflows. Experience Requirements:
* Professional experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Agile experience, including Scrum or related frameworks such as SAFe or XP.
* UI and development frameworks experience such as AngularJS, Ionic, GWT, SmartGWT, Qt, React, or Node.js.
* Automated testing tools and concepts such as Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, or BDD.
* Test Driven Development experience.
* Strong teamwork, written, and verbal communication skills.
* DoD 8570 security certification (e.g., Security+) within 90 days of hire.
* Preferred:
Web services architectures (REST, SOAP, AWS).
* Preferred:
Software configuration management using Git or Git Hub.
* Preferred: CI/CD and quality tools such as Ant, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar Qube, Fish Eye, Crucible, Gradle, or JUnit.
* Preferred:
Security scanning tools such as HP Fortify or HP Web Inspect.
* Preferred:
Build scripts with Maven or ANT.
* Preferred:
Mobile application development.
* Preferred:
Agile management tools such as Version One, JIRA, or Rally.
* Preferred:
Web server configuration for JBOSS, Wildfly, or Tomcat.
* Preferred:
Database development with Postgres, SQL Server, MySQL, SQLite, or Oracle.

Education Requirements:

* Active Secret Clearance.
