Senior Software Engineer

The purpose of the Senior Software Engineer is to develop and improve Sky Slope software to better serve real estate professionals. This role involves designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software while managing deliverables and fostering innovation.

• Develop, maintain, and deploy improved and new software:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
  • Manage own project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while coordinating with teammates.
  • Participate in reviews to ensure high quality and consistency.
  • Bring stories/tasks to fruition with limited need for consultation.
  • Contribute to overall system architecture across teams.
  • Collaborate with peers on scalable system design.
• Contribute to team success and collaboration:
  • Facilitate and lead discussions around processes and solutions.
  • Contribute to technology decisions.
  • Support sprint deliverables and predictability.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments.
  • Assist in ensuring team predictability.

  • Increase domain knowledge about Sky Slope and clients.
  • Continue learning technologies used by Sky Slope.
  • Facilitate knowledge growth of peers; mentor them.

• 7+ years of development experience or equivalent.
• High School Diploma.

• Positive manager and peer observations of essential functions.
• Meeting or exceeding deliverables and deadlines.
• Positive peer reviews of code quality.

• Languages:
  
  C#, JavaScript, Golang.
• Runtimes: .NET CLR, Node.
• Frameworks & Libraries:
  React, Angular, Vue.js, Loop Back.
• Unit testing practices, frameworks, and libraries.
• Databases: MS SQL Server, MySQL, Aurora, PostgreSQL, Dynamo Db, Mongo Db; query optimization; alert and monitoring set‑up.
• HTML, CSS, JSON.
• Source control:
  Git, TFS, SVN.
• Continuous integration platforms:
  Code Pipeline, Jenkins; pipeline terraforming.
• Support and troubleshoot system operations.
• Cloud computing platform: AWS.

• AWS Services (EC2, Lambda, S3).
• Application usage metrics capture (Google Analytics, New Relic, Amplitude, Data Dog).
