Coldfusion Developer

Overview

Insight Global is seeking a part-time Cold Fusion Developer to support several business-critical applications for UC San Diego. This role focuses on validating application functionality after Cold Fusion updates and patches, troubleshooting production issues, reviewing logs, and supporting ongoing maintenance in a legacy Cold Fusion environment. The position involves a small portfolio of applications including course entry, shopping cart/payment, and student management systems.

• Support and maintain several existing Cold Fusion-based applications
• Validate application functionality after Cold Fusion upgrades, patches, and security updates
• Perform application testing and regression testing following platform updates
• Investigate and resolve production issues, bugs, and user-reported problems
• Analyze application and server logs to identify root causes and recommend fixes
• Support course management, shopping cart/payment, and student-related applications
• Coordinate with technical teams performing platform upgrades and patching activities
• Provide ongoing maintenance and operational support to ensure application stability

• Experience developing or supporting Adobe Cold Fusion applications
• Ability to troubleshoot application issues and identify root causes through log analysis
• Experience validating and testing web applications following updates, patches, or releases
• Understanding of web application architecture and production support processes
• Experience working with SQL databases and troubleshooting application/database interactions
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a part-time support capacity;
  Experience supporting legacy enterprise applications
• Experience with higher education or student information systems
• Familiarity with payment processing or e-commerce applications
• Experience working with bug tracking and issue management processes
