Firmware Engineer

This high‑visibility role involves architecting and developing an audio platform that integrates and manages data and system states for Apple’s products. We are seeking someone passionate about our products and driven to improve the quality and innovation of deliverables. Excellent communication and collaboration are a must, as you will partner with team members and other engineering teams.

• Collaborate with marketing and cross‑functional engineering teams to define product features and requirements.
• Design, implement, debug, and test embedded C/C++ code on 8‑bit, 16‑bit, and 32‑bit MCUs for Apple‑branded audio products.
• Support electrical bring‑up and debugging of prototype hardware.
• Enable expansion of our product ecosystem features through creation of test tools.

• 1-2 years of proven excellence in firmware, device driver, or equivalent experience
• Experience with MCUs, peripherals, features, and development environments
• Solid C/C++ coding abilities
• Knowledge of audio, DSP and Bluetooth technologies is preferred
• Familiarity with real‑time audio (sample rates, buffering, I2S, PCM, drivers)
• Strong electrical system and software debugging skills
• Passion for product ownership and track record of product development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• BS or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, experience

Base pay ranges from $122,700 to $184,800, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
