Job SummaryResponsible for planning the distribution of aircraft load in accordance with passenger, cargo and fuel requirements. Also responsible for marshalling aircraft in and out of gate, loading, unloading and sorting baggage. Also responsible for cleaning the aircraft, restocking items and carrying out inspections. Operate ramp equipment such as stairs and bridges.

- Plan and ensure safe distribution of load and documentation in accordance with company requirements.
- Responsible for compliance with Customer Airline weight, balance related policies, safety practices and other legislation.
- Load, unload, service, guide, and direct customer aircraft.
- Lift, load, unload, sort, transfer and safeguard passenger baggage, airmail, freight and company material in and out of the aircraft, belt loaders, baggage carts in a safe manner.
- Perform wing walker duties to protect the aircraft wing during pushback.
- Operate motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag cart; or, manually push and pull push carts and containers.
- Complete paperwork and forms and update information system as required.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.
- Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards.
- Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
- Must hold and maintain appropriate load control certification.
- Physical requirements:
- Must be able to occasionally lift greater than 70lbs and constantly lift up to 70 lbs; frequently push, pull up to 70 lbs and reach above shoulder; and constantly walk, stand, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, & bend.
- Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
- Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
