Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions during outside tasks. In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in the cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes. Must handle fumes from food odors, exposure to cornmeal dust, cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler, hot surfaces or tools up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.

Requires good hearing and near/mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks. Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces are necessary.

Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

Standing:
Most tasks are performed from a standing position; walking surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks, and linoleum. Work surfaces height 36–48 inches.

Walking:
Typically short distances and short durations. Delivery personnel must travel between the store and the delivery vehicle and from the vehicle to the customer’s location.

Sitting:
Paperwork is normally completed in an office at a desk or table.

Lifting:
Bulk product deliveries (cases weighing up to 50 pounds with dimensions up to 3′ × 1.5′) are unloaded using a hand truck. Products may be lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72 inches high.

Carrying:
Includes large cans (3 lb 7 oz), occasional heavy sauce cases (30 lb), and trays of pizza dough (~12 lb each).

Driving:
Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area, making several deliveries per shift.

Pushing:
Trays on dollies (24–30 inches) may require up to 7.5 pounds of force. Trays may also be pulled.

Climbing:
Occasionally navigate stairs or ladders. Navigation of five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery.

Stoop/Bend:
Forward bending at waist necessary at the pizza assembly station; repeated continuous for 40–45 seconds per cycle.

Crouching/ Squatting:
Occasional when stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.

Reaching:
Continuous reaching up, down, and forward, including above 72 inches, and performing tasks such as turning on/off oven controls, changing price signs, scooping cornmeal, washing dishes, and obtaining topping ingredients.
