About the Role:
The Warehouse Operator I is essential to ensuring our product leaves our brewery and reaches our consumer with the highest level of quality. Communication, willingness to learn, and integrity are key attributes.
- Responsible for receiving and storing raw materials for use across the company.
- Handles, stores and prepares for shipping all packaging goods and raw materials without damage.
- Following the shipping schedule and ensuring all products are ready for pickup.
- Following delivery schedule and ensure sufficient space is or can be allotted in the warehouse for items expected to arrive.
- Ensures all inventory is properly labeled and stored according to Athletic, EH&S, and SQF Standards.
- Arrange warehouse and cold box in an organized fashion and keep all warehouse areas clean at all times.
- Stages all necessary packaging for production runs based on planning needs.
- Utilizes equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to manage facility inventory movement, as well as the loading and unloading of transport vehicles, in a safe manner.
- Completes all safety checklists for equipment when beginning their shift.
- Performs daily inventory audits and inventory spot checks as assigned by warehouse leadership.
- Demonstrates a professional, solution-oriented, and positive attitude while fostering a productive work environment.
- Has a flexible, team first approach to work and is comfortable working in different environments.
- Maintains overall cleanliness and organization of the entire Warehouse department.
- Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Personal curiosity in improving skills.
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, listening, critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills.
- Honest, dependable, high integrity, team player, and passionate.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least 1 year of related experience and/or training working in a warehouse is required.
- Certified forklift operator with previous experience in forklift operation required.
- Basic skills in using Excel, Word, email, google sheets required.
- ERP experience is a plus, especially Net Suite.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English both verbally and written.

- Frequent use of hands to handle, feel, and operate equipment and tools.
- Regularly lift, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds without assistance; occasional lifts up to 85 pounds may be required.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods, often for the duration of a shift.
- Work in a production environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to wet or slippery surfaces.
- May be required to climb ladders, work at heights, and navigate tight or confined spaces.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as determined by the hazard assessment, including eye and face protection, protective footwear, hearing protection, and hand protection, for the duration of the shift, as applicable.
- Ability to recognize and respond to instructions and alert signals in the work environment.
