Warehouse Associate

Position Summary The Warehouse Associate coordinates the activities of the pre-sold inventory. This position is responsible for monitoring the accuracy of the pre-sold inventory database, receiving incoming products, stages it in warehouse, and checks products for damage.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities Assists in receiving all inbound freight, unloading trucks and checking for damage and shortages Uses scanners to receive product

Place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards

Ensure proper record keeping of packing lists to aid in the research of product

Assists in loading and protection of product into trucks for delivery or install

Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat;
Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and always work area for orderliness.

Ability to drive forklift and man lifts

Ensure that all electrically powered equipment is recharged

Ability to operate company trucks and vehicles

Prepares orders by processing pull requests; pull materials; placing orders in delivery area Assist in counting physical inventory

Wear the proper safety equipment in the completion of job duties

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills

Dependable and Reliable Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required

Should possess excellent communication skills; both verbal and written

Knowledge of MS Office Outlook and ability to learn proprietary software (Hedberg)
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to department and company policies and procedures

Mindful of maintaining safety in the work environment

Must have a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and meet all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle

Must have great attention to detail

Exhibit flexibility with changing schedules, assignments, work locations and requirements

Basic mechanical aptitude

Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent required1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferred

Forklift certification required (can be obtained on the job)
Language Skills Ability to read, comprehend, write and communicate in English Follow simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers and other employees

Work Environment &

Physical Requirements Work performed primarily in a warehouse environment

Frequent lifting of furniture components (up to 75 lbs with assistance)
Heavy physical activity including walking, standing continual use of hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Must have a valid driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record and meet all eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle

Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
