Preferred Prior teaching experience in a non public school special education setting
Proficient in Google Workspace Microsoft Office Suite and other office related software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
General administrative and clerical abilities
Must pass a pre employment physical examination tuberculosis TB test and drug screening
Key Responsibilities Plan organize and implement engaging daily lessons aligned with the approved curriculum
Conduct pre and post testing using standardized teacher developed tests for each student
As part of the team develop implement and present IEPs in collaboration with students parents and other educators
Manage classroom behavior in a respectful structured and trauma informed manner
Maintain accurate and timely records progress reports and documentation as required
Demonstrate competency in all subject areas and schedule the classroom day to include instruction in all curriculum areas
Actively participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Meetings Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
Communicate effectively with parents teachers and other stakeholders to ensure student success
Supervise Instructional Aides assigned to the classroom
Actively participate in the agencys Continuous Quality Improvement CQI plan
Must maintain an active teaching credential license or permit
Use of a personal cell phone for work related communication when agency radios and phones are not easily accessible
Ability to transfer classrooms as needed
Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries at all times
Represent the agency in a professional respectful manner when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Complete all onboarding requirements within the designated time frame and remain in compliance with agency expectations for timely review and acknowledgment of policies procedures and trainings
Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned
