The PositionSpecial Education Teacher in an elementary or secondary setting who plans, organizes, and delivers specialized instructional programs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and under the supervision of the principal.
Compensation and BenefitsPay Range: $70,304 - $76,000 annually

- Current California Intern/Preliminary/Clear Extensive Needs Education Specialist Credential
- Experience working with students with learning, emotional and behavioral disabilities, autism spectrum, speech and communication disorders preferred
- Preferred:
Prior teaching experience in a non-public school special education setting - Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite and other office related software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- General administrative and clerical abilities
- Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, tuberculosis (TB) test, and drug screening
- Plan, organize, and implement engaging daily lessons aligned with the approved curriculum
- Conduct pre- and post-testing using standardized teacher-developed tests
- Develop, implement, and present IEPs in collaboration with students, parents, and other educators
- Manage classroom behavior in a respectful, structured, and trauma-informed manner
- Maintain accurate and timely records, progress reports, and documentation
- Demonstrate competency in all subject areas and schedule the classroom day to include instruction in all curriculum areas
- Actively participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Meetings
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and stakeholders to ensure student success
- Supervise instructional aides assigned to the classroom
- Actively participate in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plan
- Maintain an active teaching credential, license, or permit
- Use a personal cell phone for work-related communication when agency radios and phones are not available
- Ability to transfer classrooms as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries at all times
- Represent the agency in a professional, respectful manner when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Complete all onboarding requirements within the designated timeframe and remain in compliance with agency expectations for timely review and acknowledgement of policies, procedures, and training
