Low Voltage Design Engineer
$90,000 - $130,000 per year | San Dimas, CA | On-Site | Permanent
About the Position
We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Low Voltage Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves designing, planning, and overseeing the installation of low voltage systems for a wide variety of projects that impact people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities Design, plan, and oversee the installation of low voltage systems, including CCTV, video surveillance, fire alarm systems, and structured cabling systems.Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls using CAD.Coordinate with contractors to monitor project progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety/sanitation standards.Direct, review, and approve project design changes.Consult with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.Design and implement conduit layouts for low voltage systems.Use Revit to create 3D models of low voltage systems.Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and standards.Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years in low voltage design engineering, specifically with CCTV, video surveillance, fire alarm systems, and structured cabling systems.Proficiency in Revit and other CAD software.Familiarity with conduit layout and design for low voltage systems.Strong problem‑solving skills and creativity to develop innovative solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong commitment to safety and adherence to applicable codes and regulations.Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.Benefits
