We're seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of drinking water capital improvement projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for a licensed California Professional Engineer who enjoys leading technical teams, managing complex infrastructure projects, and helping shape the future of public water systems.
In this role, you'll oversee multiple design projects from concept through construction, collaborate with internal teams and consultants, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What You’ll Do- Lead the design and delivery of potable water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution projects.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and design quality.
- Supervise and mentor engineers and technical staff.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of engineering designs.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, operations, and other stakeholders.
- Support capital improvement planning, cost estimating, and engineering evaluations.
- Review construction submittals and provide engineering support during project execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- California Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in water infrastructure design.
- Experience leading engineering teams and managing multiple capital improvement projects.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Experience with municipal water treatment and distribution systems is highly preferred.
- Competitive salary: $130,945-$183,321 annually.
