The Construction Accountant will manage financial records and accounting operations for commercial construction projects, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in construction accounting practices, the use of Quick Books, and the ability to analyze financial data to support project budgeting and reporting.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate accounting records for commercial construction projects
- Track project costs, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll related to construction activities
- Reconcile accounts and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
- Generate financial reports to support project management and decision-making
- Utilize Quick Books software to record transactions and produce accurate financial statements
- 4+ years of experience in construction accounting
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Quick Books accounting software
