Our client in San Fernando, CA is looking for Mechanical Assembler Technician to disassembly and part cleaning of train braking components, HVAC units, door operators and couplers. Responsibilities

· Move material to and from workstation by hand, cart, pallet jack, hoist and crane as required.

· Disassemble (tear-down), clean, according to work instructions, engineering drawings and/or test codes.

· Responsible for processing paperwork pertaining to the disassembly and cleaning.

· Use of fixtures, press, vice, grinders, wire wheel, pneumatic/hand tools, etc.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

· Performs other related duties as assigned by management

· Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, practices, procedures, and established company policies.

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

· Over 2 years' experience with Manufacturing Assembly experience, preferrable mechanic experience.

· Ability to understand work procedures, determine tooling and operation sequence, etc. in order to establish the most efficient manner of utilizing materials and equipment.

· Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Able to communicate effectively with coworkers.

· Ability to follow instructions, possess basic comprehension and reading skills.

· Ability to lift up and move up to 50 lbs.

· Requires repeated movements and tasks daily.

· Must be comfortable to frequently stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, and crouch.

· Must be able to use vibrating/impact pneumatic hand tools.

· Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays when required.

Shifts Available:

Shifts are available from Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m.

- 2:30 p.m. with some overtime including Saturdays
