Accounting Manager

Description

We are offering a short term contract opportunity for an Accounting Manager in San Francisco. The role will involve managing multiple facets of accounting including General Accounting, Revenue, Cost Accounting, AP, Tax, and Intercompany Accounting. The Accounting Manager will also assist with the monthly end close process, ensuring that financial information is reported accurately and within the corporate standards.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing general accounting tasks such as revenue, G/L, intercompany, cost accounting, and tax

- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities

- Providing monthly reporting packages to the parent company, including the preparation of the balance sheet, cash flow, and income statements

- Assisting with corporate tax filings and providing guidance on business transactions

- Managing Cost Accounting matters within the organization including standard costing, inventory/cycle counts, scrap, and inventory reserve

- Playing a key-role in month-end cost accounting / inventory close, translating inputs from the operations team into accruals in scrap, inventory reserve

- Coordinating the accounting side of the monthly inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and annual inventory count process

- Reconciling inventory accounts: WIP, and goods received

Requirements

- A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including cost and corporate accounting.

- Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

- Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.

- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing cost accounting.

- Ability to prepare and record journal entries accurately.

- Solid understanding of financial audits and compliance requirements.
