Staff Accountant

This is a contract role based in San Francisco, CA. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, such as overseeing accounts payable and receivable, recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Additional responsibilities include assisting with month-end close processes, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with team members to support client needs. This role requires proactive communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.

• Proficiency in bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Experience with financial statements preparation and analytical reporting
• Familiarity with accounting software and tech solutions, ideally Quick Books or similar tools
• Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for supporting client needs
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
