Senior Accountant

A Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in a dynamic, mission-driven healthcare environment.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a hands-on position with a strong operational focus.

• 40% Payroll Accounting – Lead payroll-related accounting functions, including reconciliation of payroll accounts, review of wage and benefit allocations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and partnering closely with my team in HR to ensure accuracy and integrity in payroll reporting working with the Payroll Supervisor.

• 40% Month-End Close & Financial Reporting. Play a key role in the monthly close process, prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, analyze variances, and support timely and accurate internal financial reporting.

• 20% Audit & General Ledger – Assist with audits, maintain general ledger integrity, support documentation requests, and help strengthen internal controls and financial processes.

Never a dull moment here looking at an ERP conversion as well as cleaning up multiple entities. Great for someone who enjoys figuring out why things are happening and fixing them.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Three plus years of experience as a Staff or Senior Accountant
• Experience working with ERP systems (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Procurement modules) and payroll systems such as ADP or Paycom
• Experience with fund accounting and reconciliation processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• High level of organization and attention to detail, with a commitment to meeting deadlines
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team
