Accounting Manager | Hands-On Build Venture-Backed Tech

We are partnering with a high-growth, venture-backed technology company in San Francisco that has scaled to a 9-figure revenue run rate with 15x year-over-year growth.

A recently hired VP Controller is actively building the internal accounting function from the ground up. This position will be a critical, hands-on partner in that build, rolling up their sleeves to execute while helping design scalable processes and controls.

This is not a supervisory-only role. It is ideal for a technically strong Accounting Manager who wants expanded ownership and real operating impact in a scaling environment.

• Personally own and drive the month-end and year-end close process
• Perform and review general ledger activity and detailed reconciliations
• Execute core accounting operations while improving structure and efficiency
• Support financial reporting and audit readiness
• Build and strengthen internal controls as the company scales
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Leadership
• Help transition accounting from outsourced provider to a fully internal function

This role combines execution and ownership, you will be in the details while helping shape the broader accounting infrastructure.

• 5–7 years of total accounting experience
• CPA or public accounting foundation a plus
• Experience in venture-backed, startup, fintech, SaaS, consumer tech, or other high-growth environments preferred
• Comfortable working in-office 5x per week
