Client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant (Accounts Payable focus) to support the AP team during a parental leave coverage. This role will act as a backup to the AP Manager and play a key role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across AP operations.

The candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Supply Chain, and Operational teams while ensuring adherence to US GAAP and SOX compliance
.

• Approve invoices (under $K queue) including -way and
  -way matching
• Support and act as backup to AP Manager for batch payments
• Prepare multi-period accounting workbooks and validate with FP&A
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex AP issues
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, SOX, and US GAAP
• Provide excellent stakeholder support (vendors, internal teams)
• Assist in process improvements and special projects

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• + years of accounting experience (public accounting preferred)
• Strong understanding of:
  Accounts Payable processes Invoice processing & reconciliation

  -way match
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask
