Senior - Technical Accounting

Job Overview

Connor Group is hiring remote professionals for this position, with the obligation to work onsite at client locations when required and optional use of office facilities. We seek intellectually curious, deal‑oriented professionals with accounting, operational, and industry experience to support finance projects addressing complex technical accounting, financial reporting, and software implementation.

• Add value through transactions including IPOs, SPACs, M&A, and divestitures.
• Assist clients to prepare and complete audits.
• Support technical accounting and financial reporting topics such as revenue recognition, stock‑based compensation, leases, fixed assets, accrued expenses, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, income statement classification, SEC reporting, quarterization, detailed revenue analysis, and disclosure drafting.
• Assist in SEC reporting filings (10‑K, 10‑Q, etc.).
• Identify and apply technical accounting guidance; discuss GAAP issues with engagement leaders.
• Identify complex accounting issues and bring them to engagement leaders for resolution.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in public accounting or a relevant industry role.
• CPA preferred or actively pursuing certification.
• Ability to take responsibility for own work.
• Hard working, detail oriented, and able to work independently.
• Team player with professional and personable demeanor.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Passion for helping clients with technical accounting.
• Aptitude for technical accounting research, self‑education, and desire to become an expert.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Some travel may be expected (~10%).
