About the RoleThis role offers the opportunity to work in a hands‑on public accounting environment where professionals are exposed to the full lifecycle of client engagements. Individuals in this position are responsible for contributing to tax preparation, analysis, and client communication, while building a strong foundation in accounting principles and tax strategy.
This is a growth‑oriented position designed for individuals interested in developing into advanced accounting professionals, with exposure to complex engagements across multiple areas of public accounting.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Work directly with clients to gather, verify, and clarify financial information
- Analyze financial data and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding tax‑related matters
- Support research and analysis of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Assist with advisory, audit, and specialized client work as needed
- Maintain organized documentation and support files for all client engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a U.S. university
- Experience working with tax returns in a public accounting environment
- Understanding of fundamental accounting principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a structured, detail‑oriented environment
- Commitment to pursuing CPA licensure
- Progress toward CPA exam (active or planned)
- Experience with individual, partnership, or corporate returns
- Exposure to audit or assurance processes
- Interest in working with complex client scenarios and problem solving
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively
- Base salary: $75,000 – $125,000 (dependent on experience)
- Performance‑based bonus structure tied to billable work and firm performance
