Tax Manager – San Francisco, CA

A growing, well-capitalized accounting technology company is expanding in San Francisco and seeking a highly skilled tax professional to join their team. • $120,000–$200,000 base salary (flexible depending on experience) plus equity participation

• Strong background in 1040 preparation
• Extensive experience with high-complexity high-net-worth returns
• Deep, hands-on familiarity with CCH Axcess (non-negotiable)
• Multi-state tax expertise
• Foreign reporting knowledge (FBAR, FATCA, etc.)
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
• Willingness to work in-person in San Francisco

• Experience with Go System
• Background at a mid-market accounting firm
• Broad generalist tax exposure (not siloed, Big 4 specialization)

• Prepare and review complex individual 1040 tax returns
• Handle tax filings for high-net-worth clients, including multi-layered financial reporting
• Manage multi-state filings and foreign disclosures
• Serve as the in-house expert on CCH Axcess
• Operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally with other departments
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements and maintain technical excellence
