Senior Accountant - AI Technology Company - Onsite - San Francisco Bay Area

We are partnering with a rapidly growing AI technology company in the San Francisco Bay Area that is building innovative technology at the forefront of the AI industry. As the company continues to scale, it is expanding its finance and accounting organization and seeking a highly detail-oriented Senior Accountant to strengthen its expense, corporate card, and accounting operations.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the company's employee expense reporting, corporate credit card accounting, time and expense processes, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP Concur, corporate credit card reconciliation, expense report processing, general ledger accounting, and month-end close activities. This person will partner closely with employees, Finance, HR, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to ensure expenses are accurately recorded, reconciled, and compliant with company policies.

SAP Concur supports expense processing, credit-card feeds, accounting extracts, and reconciliation workflows, making strong system knowledge particularly valuable for this role.

• Manage end-to-end employee expense reporting through SAP Concur.
• Process and reconcile corporate credit card transactions and statements.
• Review expense reports for accuracy, coding, receipts, and policy compliance.
• Manage time & expense submissions and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support month-end close, accruals, and audit requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate expense/accounting processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in technology or high-growth companies.
• Strong SAP Concur and corporate credit card reconciliation experience.
• Solid understanding of GL accounting and month-end close.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
