Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support a Fin Tech organization in San Francisco, California through a long-term contract engagement. This onsite opportunity requires a strong, detail-oriented accounting specialist who can manage complex general ledger activity, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute during critical close cycles. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise with Oracle Fusion, a solid background in journal entries and reconciliations, and the ability to step into a fast-paced environment with confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions across the general ledger.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries while maintaining appropriate supporting documentation and accounting accuracy.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies to keep records current and reliable.
• Rebook accounting entries as needed to correct prior postings and align financial data with reporting requirements.
• Set up new entities within Oracle Fusion and confirm accounting structures are established correctly for ongoing operations.
• Maintain and analyze general ledger balances to support accurate financial statements and internal reporting.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address accounting issues, clarify transactional activity, and support day-to-day finance operations.
• Assist with audit-related accounting work by organizing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to financial inquiries.
