Fund Accounting Manager

Join a growing Bay Area venture capital firm investing in early-stage frontier and climate technologies, with approximately $800M in AUM and the backing of a globally recognized organization. This is an opportunity to combine the resources and stability of an institutional platform with the broad exposure and ownership of a lean investment team.

Working closely with the CFO and Controller, you'll gain hands-on exposure across the full fund lifecycle, including capital activity, financial reporting, waterfalls, carry, valuations, tax, and investor reporting. Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end capital calls and distributions
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly closes
• Maintain portfolio investment activity, valuations, and statements of investments
• Build and review American and European waterfall models
• Calculate carried interest, hurdle rates, and capital statements
• Maintain fund accounting systems and ensure data accuracy
• Coordinate with external tax providers and review fund tax returns
• Prepare LP and parent company reporting
• Respond to investor inquiries related to capital activity, statements, and K-1s
• Support portfolio investment and fund-of-fund activity
