A fast-growing, venture-backed technology startup is seeking an Accounting Manager to help build and scale its accounting function. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will play a critical part in supporting the company's next phase of growth by driving accounting operations, improving processes, and helping establish a scalable, audit-ready finance organization. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats, building processes from the ground up, and making a significant impact in a high-growth environment.

What You'll Do

• Own key components of the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting support
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, invoicing, and collections activities
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support billing, revenue, and operational initiatives
• Improve accounting workflows and identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies
• Support audit preparation and maintain well-documented accounting records
• Assist with financial systems enhancements and process improvements
• Participate in special projects as the finance organization continues to grow

What We're Looking For

• 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with in a SaaS, software, or technology company preferred
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles
• Proven experience owning or supporting the month-end close process
• Experience with AR, AP, billing, invoicing, and collections
• Strong Excel and financial systems skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
• CPA or public accounting background is a plus
